PAO PAO on Steam: is it worth buying at launch?

The official PAO PAO Steam application is number 3024130, developed by ArtDock and published by Dreland Enterprises. The game launched there in Early Access on October 26, 2026, and is now on sale with a 40% launch discount. A separate demo is listed under application 3498580, and the main listing advertises Windows PC support and online co-op.

The official Steam listing

PAO PAO's main store page lives at Steam application 3024130. The listing names ArtDock as developer and Dreland Enterprises as publisher. It describes a cozy restaurant and life simulation game with fishing, farming, exploration and co-op. The page also hosts screenshots, the trailer and the demo download.

Using the application number helps you land on the right page. Several unrelated products share similar names, especially in searches for food or cafes. If the developer and publisher match, you are in the right place. Bookmark the page so you can return to it on launch day.

The separate demo application

The free demo has its own Steam application, number 3498580. Steam currently redirects that address to the main game page, where demo access is offered. You can install the demo directly from there. It downloads like any other Steam game.

The demo application has an older release history of its own. That first-release date is not the full game's launch date, so do not confuse the two. The full game is scheduled for Early Access on October 26, 2026. The demo remains a separate install from the full game.

Release status on Steam

The Steam page now lists October 26, 2026 as the release date, and the game is in Early Access. On October 23, 2026, the developer had posted that launch was three days away. When we checked on October 27, the store showed a Very Positive rating from 93% of 83 user reviews.

That early score is a small first-day sample and can still move. It also says nothing about your own hardware, so check the requirements below. Our release date guide explains what Early Access means. The developer estimates Early Access will last six to twelve months.

PC system requirements

The Steam store publishes minimum and recommended requirements for Windows. These are the developer's listed specifications, not measured performance. Compare them with your own PC before buying. A dash means that value was not captured in our research.

ComponentMinimumRecommended
OSWindows 10/11 64-bit—
ProcessorIntel i3-10100Intel i5-12400
Memory4 GB RAM8 GB RAM
GraphicsGTX 1050RTX 3060

Storage14 GB14 GB

If your PC sits near the minimum, test the free demo first. It is the most practical way to see how the game runs on your system. Frame rates have not been measured here, so no performance numbers are promised. Your results will depend on your hardware and settings.

How to install PAO PAO from Steam

Open the official store page through the Steam client or a browser. The game is now available to buy, so the page shows an add-to-cart button. You can also install the free demo from the same page.

  • Find the page. Search Steam or use application 3024130.
  • Check the details. Confirm ArtDock and Dreland Enterprises are listed.
  • Try the demo first. It is free and tests your hardware.
  • Buy and install. Add the game to your cart, then install about 14 GB.

The publisher's demo announcement also points players to the official Steam route. Following that route avoids similarly named games and unofficial downloads. Only install PAO PAO through Steam. Third-party download sites are not official sources.

Co-op and features on the listing

The main listing advertises online co-op, which supports up to four players in total. The publisher describes the game as playable solo or with friends. Local split-screen is not listed on the store page. A 2025 developer reply said local co-op was not planned at that time.

The listing also names 15 supported interface and subtitle languages. That does not mean every language has full voice-over. Our co-op guide covers multiplayer in more detail. It also explains lobby codes and recent online fixes.

Price on Steam

On October 27, 2026, the US store listed PAO PAO at $14.99. A 40% introductory discount brought it to $8.99. The store says that offer ends on November 9.

Other regions show the price in local currency, so your number may differ. Steam's Early Access FAQ for the game says no price change is planned when it leaves Early Access. See the price guide for details. It also covers buying copies for a co-op group.

Demo saves and Steam

Players who try the demo often ask whether their progress carries over. The September 18, 2026 official patch notes state that demo saves can transfer to the full version. That replaced an older March 2025 developer answer that expected little or no carryover.

Steam Cloud alone does not prove that demo and full-game saves are compatible. The exact import steps could not be tested before launch. The demo save transfer guide tracks what is confirmed.

Steam community and news

The PAO PAO Steam community hub hosts discussions, player feedback and official announcements. Patch notes, such as the September 18 and October 1, 2026 updates, appear in its news feed. Developers also reply to player questions in the discussion boards.

That makes the hub a useful place to check for fixes and answers. When reporting a bug, include your build, whether you were host or guest and what happened. Our guides cite these official posts where relevant. Following the hub keeps you up to date between our checks.

Trailer and videos

The official release date trailer was published on September 18, 2026 and is carried by IGN. You can watch it on our homepage without leaving this site. It is a promotional video, not a performance benchmark.

Recent demo playthroughs, such as Becktoriiia's October 22, 2026 session, show how the game plays. They do not test minimum hardware or handheld compatibility. Use them for gameplay, and the store page for technical facts. That split keeps expectations realistic.

What is not confirmed

Some platform questions are not answered by the store page. Native macOS or Linux support, Steam Deck verification, console versions and cross-play were not verified. Measured frame rates are not available either. Players should not rely on tags or rumors for these answers.

Store tags alone are not enough to confirm those features. This page will be updated when official sources address them. Until then, Windows PC through Steam is the confirmed platform. Check this page again after launch for updates.
